California with the Family!

We went back to California on June 24th the day after Grams passed away. We shared some great stories and things we loved about Grams. We will always remember her and all she has taught us. We love her so much. We are having a service for her on Aug. 11, 2011 at her church Prince of Peace.

Jp and her baby Callen were there to and her husband Jace came up later in the week. Even though it was a sad trip we as a family had fun and did things with the kids.
Landon loved spending time with his Granny and Gramps and had a great time. We all had a great time.
Callen is 8 months and Landon is 4 months!! They are 2nd cousins.  So cute in their matching PJS.

Landon is 4 months old!

I cannot believe Landon is 4 months old! He turned 4 months on June 18th! He weighs 14.6 lbs and is 25 1/2 inches tall! He is such a good baby. He is so content and happy. He loves to sit up with help and is trying to do it on his own but isn't ready yet. We have started giving him rice cereal at night and will start baby food soon.
We love him so much and are so blessed to have such a sweet and adorable baby.  He loves going places and has traveled many places. He has been to California twice, Chicago, Austin, Lake Conroe, and will be heading to Galveston next week!!  Here are a few pics I took!

My Grams! We love and miss you!

My Grams, my best friend and my role model passed away on June 23,2011 at the age of 82. Grams I love you and miss you sooo much.
I will miss her more than she will ever know. I know she is an angel now but its still so hard to know she is not here when I need her the most. She was mowing her yard last April and fell. Something attacked her spine and she was paralyzed. She fought the pain and tried so hard in therapy but her pain and dimensha took over. She was suffering and I am glad she is not in pain anymore but cannot believe she is really gone. We talked almost every day and were together all the time. I will never forget you Grams and all the fun we had together.

Grams trying on one of her Christmas presents! She really wanted this even though it was to big and wanted to take it in and fix it herself! So beautiful!
We had her 80th Bday party at my house with the family and then took her to San Antonio for the weekend.
This is my Mom, Grams, and I at JP's wedding. We had a great time.
We know Grams waited to meet Landon and we feel so blessed. Landon and Grams met when Landon was 3 months old. We wish she was here now to see him grow but we know she is with us in spirit. This was a hard trip because she was in alot of pain but for a few minutes Landon made her smile and took her pain away. We will share all our great memories of his Great Grams.  We say her prayer every night before bed as she did with me. We love you Grams. Rest in Peace

Lake Conroe, Matt's 1st Father's Day!

Fellowship of the Woodlands Church Father's Day

Happy 1st Daddy's Day Matt!!! Well Matt got to choose what he wanted to do on his 1st Father's Day! I'm sure you can all guess what he chose , the lake! So we headed to Jim and Shari's for breakfast with the grandparents and aunts. After breakfast we headed to the Woodlands and made it to church. It was nice going to Church and we plan on going more often. Then it was off to the lake! We got there and the boat had a flat tire. So Matt had to change it and that was not fun. But he did it and then we were off! Landon loves riding on the boat and looks so cute in his life jacket. It was windy and hot so we parked on the island and swam. Landon's 1st time in lake water and he loved it! We had a great time as you can see!

Father's Day Golf Tournament

We started a Lindsay family tradition and every year on Father's Day we play in the High Meadow Ranch golf tournament. It is alot of fun even though I am not good at all!! I just look the part! I did not swing and miss as much as I usually do though!

Mandy, me , and Hallie!! We had a great time!
Shari, Karen, and Marsha! They are good!
The Boys Dusten. Cody, Matt and Josh
Next year we have a few tricks up our sleeves for them! They always play pranks on us and we had a few but next year it's on!!

Landon in his girlfriend's cadillac. Well Avery is older and likes to eat real good food ( like Perry's and PF Changs)  so will see if Landon can afford her! HA!!  She's so adorable and wants to teach Landon how to swing one day!!
Chad and Amy invited us over for a fish fry. They had just got back from fishing and caught alot of fish. Of course I forgot to take pics of the the awesome spread. I only captured the beautiful children. Avery and Landon are so cute that I only got pics of them! But let me tell you what we ate because it was amazing. Chicago Land Speedway!! Trip part 2!

Well not only did we get to spend 4 days in Chicago but we also got to go to Joliet, Illinois for Nascar. The reason we came to Chicago is because a vendor of Matt's invited him to come drive a Nascar at the Chicagoland Speedway Friday. We decided to make a family vacation of it and go to Chicago the week before! Let me begin by saying this was the coolest experience for all of us. We left Chicago and got a town car to take us to Joliet, about an hour outside of the city. We arrived at the Harrah's casino @ 4. Children are not suppose to stay here but they let Landon!! :) We checked into are room and got a free upgrade to the VIP 12th floor. Matt had a dinner with Ward Burton and about 15 other guys who were invited. Landon and I had a date and went and ate at the Mosiac at the hotel. The next morning Matt and the other guys took a bus to the Chicago Land speedway. Matt rode with Ward Burton, a legend in Nascar! Ward was so nice and so friendly.  Then he got to drive on his own. He drove car # 9. Landon and I took a cab and barely made it to see him drive! Thank goodness we pulled up just in time. Matt drove 8 laps then they tell you what your doing right and what to work on. Then he was off again. He went 141 MPH!!! Landon even got to sit in a Nascar and he looked adorable! Then Matt suprised me and bought me a ride along! I got to ride with a professional driver. We went 165 MPH and it was so crazy and fun. The wall seemed so close on the turns and I don't know how Matt drove one!! We both will remember this trip for a lifetime!!  What a great trip!!!
